Excuse me for not writing anything yesterday. I wasn’t busy with much but work, I thought that I would just give myself a lil break to catch up on some much-needed rest.
I watched Slumdog Millionaire last night, what a good movie. There was a challenge of hiring and directing three small local children who spoke only Hindi. One, Ayush Mahesh Khedekar (who plays the youngest Jamal), comes from a middle-class background, while the other two, Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Ismail (who play the youngest Latika and Salim), are from Mumbai slums similar to those depicted in the film. Director Danny Boyle mentioned that he and the producers, cognizant of how a movie like Slumdog could change the kids’ lives for the worse if proper care wasn’t taken, had set up a trust fund for Ali and Ismail, accessible only if they enrolled in school — a first for both of them. “They’d never been to school,” Boyle said. “So they have to stay in school until they’re 18. When they reach 18, and if they’ve passed all their exams, a quite substantial sum of money — extra money [on top of their salaries] — will be released to them.” I definitely recommend watching this very unique movie. It had some sad parts, some funny, and alot of love.
New Year’s Reflections
Looking back on the months gone by,
As a new year starts and an old one ends,
We contemplate what brought us joy,
And we think of our loved ones and our friends.Recalling all the happy times,
Remembering how they enriched our lives,
We reflect upon who really counts,
As the fresh and bright new year arrives.
And when I ponder those who do,
I immediately think of you.
Thanks for being one of the reasons I’ll have a Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve. I went to a little function they had here, just imagine a warehouse / Middle School dance, that’s what the atmosphere was like. Barely any decorations, no drinks, no food, no nothing. There were a few people dancing, but, since I don’t study YouTube, then I’m apparently not up to the latest and greatest when it comes to “What’s In”. I had a stupid gold 2010 hat on, and I’m still finding glitter in my hair, and on my face. Uuuuugh!
So, Mr. P went out with his “Crew” to a casino for new years. Of course the “Chick” was there, he didn’t tell me, but I already know. Anyway, I don’t know how it went, Tone Toni Tony was supposed to perform there, so I’m sure it was pretty cool. I e-mailed him, and left a message on his Facebook right at midnight ( his time) and I didn’t receive a reply. I didn’t expect to hear from him, because I knew he was out. I did think that he would have hit me up earlier in the day yesterday, but, He has the name Mr. Predictable for a reason. He decided that he would send me an IM & e-mail at about 3 pm ( 2am my time). Really? Hmmm, so when I get to work I respond to his e-mail, and NOTHING. This reply to him was sent about 2 hours ago, meaning it would have only been 9 pm there. Like I said before… It’s 2010, I’m not going to sweat the small stuff, but It still kind of bothers me. I think I just feel really left out because he is making memories with others. I am ONLY out here to make extra money to better OUR future, and was hoping that I would receive the support that I needed but in my absence he just could really care less, at least that how it feels. It’s kind of funny that Mr. P will not get in contact with me, but he was sure on Facebook accepting friends… Why is this stupid boy trying to test my nerves? OOOOhhhhhh…. Okay, *DEEP BREATH*… I am calm, it doesn’t bother me the way it used to, either that or I’m really used to this shit… UPDATE: So, just a few minutes ago, I receive an e-mail from him saying how silly he was for not checking his e-mail, only FB and IM, but he knows I’m at work, and can’t IM him, and I am on FB, so why not hit me up on that? He said “Don’t ever worry me like that again”… Excuse me? I’m not the one that has waited for almost 24 hrs to hit him up…lol… it’s all good… I’m not gonna trip.
I think I might see whats playing at the movies tonight. I don’t have to work tomorrow, and I think I should stay away from my computer tonight, just in case I get the urge to make an uneccessary phone call. I said I was going to do things much different this year, and I would like to try my damnest to do that.
My Horoscope for today is:
A guardian angel in a human guise could come to your aid today. You may not even find out about their intervention until much later. If things seem to smooth out especially quickly or if you receive some excellent news, be aware that it could be the result of someone’s advocacy on your behalf. Show the proper gratitude when the time comes. In the meantime, be an angel to someone else.
